Buta Modan-yaki
Pork okonomiyaki pressed onto crisp soba — the best of both plates.
Two kitchens, one teppan. Kansai-style okonomiyaki, Tokyo local monjya and izakaya classics — now sizzling at Eco Botanic, Johor Bahru.
Nanjya Monjya has fired its teppans since 2000 — a family-run izakaya at Singapore's Waterfront Plaza, loved by the Japanese community for Kansai-style okonomiyaki and Tokyo's beloved local monjyayaki, cooked the shitamachi way.
Now, together with Miseya, that same griddle culture arrives in Johor — an easy, warm izakaya in Eco Botanic where the soba snaps on the iron plate, the katsuobushi dances, and the beer stays cold from lunch through last call.
Come hungry, stay long. Kanpai.
Griddled to order, finished with sauce, mayo and a snowfall of dancing bonito flakes.
